Valentine's Day

Valentine's day is a day meant for spending time with the ones you love. However, many companies see it as a day for spending money. Every ad you see in February seems to relate to Valentine's day in some way. Florists and jewelers are no longer the only ones marketing the holiday of love. Companies such as fitbit and bark shop have even released Valentine related ads.

Marketers have learned to creatively use the holiday spirit in order to sell their product, even if the product may not directly relate to the special day. Prices spent on holiday's are at an all time high. Which makes it a perfect time for marketers to incorporate their product. This is a great example of how powerful marketing truly is. If a company like fitbit can sell their product for a holiday relating to love, what can't marketing achieve?
